When designing ads, consistency and readability are key to ensuring a visually appealing layout. If you are loading dynamic content from a feed, some text elements may be longer than expected, potentially breaking the design. To prevent this, the Truncate Text feature automatically shortens text that exceeds a set character limit, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

How It Works

The Truncate Text feature detects text that surpasses a predefined limit and shortens it, byadding an ellipsis (...) at the end to indicate omitted content. This ensures that long product names, descriptions, or other text elements do not overflow or disrupt the ad layout.

When to Use

Use the Truncate Text feature in scenarios where:

  • You are pulling text dynamically from a product feed.

  • The length of content varies, and some entries may be significantly longer than others.

  • Maintaining a consistent ad design and preventing layout issues is important.

How to Enable Truncate Text

  1. Open the Ad Builder – Access the ad campaign where you want to apply truncation.

  2. Select a text Element – Click on the text box that may contain dynamically loaded content.

  3. Enable Truncation – Look for the "Truncate" option in the text settings panel.

  4. Set Line Limit – Define the maximum number of lines that should be displayed before truncation occurs.

  5. Preview Your Ad – Load sample content to ensure the truncation effect is applied correctly and that the design remains intact.

By using the Truncate Text feature effectively, you can ensure that your ads maintain a polished and professional look, even when working with dynamic content from a feed.
