When using a feed to dynamically load content into your ads, you now have the ability to apply Display Rules. These rules give you more control over how content is displayed, allowing you to define conditions for when certain elements should appear or be hidden based on the data being loaded. This ensures that your ads maintain a clean design and functionality, regardless of the content variations.

What Are Display Rules?

Display Rules allow you to define conditions based on the content being loaded from your feed. For example, you can set rules to determine whether or not a certain piece of content, like a text element or image, should be shown, depending on whether it meets specific criteria (such as price or the presence of certain data).

How to Use Display Rules

  1. Open the Ad Builder – Go to your ad campaign where you are using dynamic content.

  2. Select a Content Element – Click on the element that you want to apply a Display Rule to (e.g., text, image).

  3. Add a Display Rule – In the settings panel for the selected element, choose the Display Rules option.

  4. Define Conditions – Set the conditions that must be met for the content to be displayed. This could be based on the length of the content, the presence of specific data, or other criteria that make sense for your ad’s design.

Best Practices

  • Keep Design Consistency: Use Display Rules to ensure that your content adapts to different data scenarios without breaking the overall layout of your ad.

  • Test Different Scenarios: Before finalizing your design, test how your ad looks with different feed data to ensure the Display Rules work as expected.

  • Apply Rules Where Needed: Not every piece of content needs a rule. Only apply Display Rules to elements where you want to control visibility based on specific conditions.

Benefits of Display Rules

  • Better Control: You gain control over how dynamic content behaves within your ad, preventing overflow or design inconsistencies.

  • Cleaner Ads: By hiding irrelevant or incomplete content, you can maintain a professional and cohesive ad design.

  • Enhanced Flexibility: With Display Rules, you can make sure that only relevant data is shown, helping to maintain clarity and focus on the most important information.

With Display Rules, your dynamic ads become more adaptable and visually appealing, improving both the user experience and the overall effectiveness of your campaigns.
